Financial Aid Session

Join our special virtual one-hour session to learn about financial aid, FAFSA, types of financial aid, and federal versus private loans.

Your parents/legal guardians are encouraged to attend as well. Session will be translated in Spanish.

A-G Student Manager 

Be wise and plan out your future classes with the help of USC MESA's A-G Student Manager. This tool will help you create an Individual Academic Plan (IAP) in order to ensure that you have exceed the A-G requirements, making you eligible to apply for college right after high school. 

Follow the instructions on how to download the tool and use it. Feel free to bring it up with your counselor if you have any additional questions or need help obtaining the classes you desire. This is a tool for you!

Led by SWE at USC (Society of Women Engineers) in partnership with USC MESA and the Viterbi K-12 STEM Center, these monthly/semester virtual sessions provide opportunities for students to hear and learn from current college students about different topics!

SCOLARSHIPS AND FINANCIAL AID
Students must apply by Nov. 1st or Dec. 1st (depending on your major) to be considered for Financial Aid

​USC EARLY ACTION
USC Early Action is available for first year applicants. not all majors participate in early action.
TEST SCORES ARE OPTIONAL
Applicants do not need to present ACT or SAT Scores. Students will not be penalized for not submitting the testing results

Free College and Career Workshops

Your Future LA is a free series of financial aid, college prep and career workshops open to students and families throughout Los Angeles County. These virtual events are geared toward high school students and first-year, first-generation college students who need more guidance on navigating the college process and parents looking to create a college-going environment at home.

College can be pricey. However, there are a multitude of programs willing to help cover the costs. Here are a few to look into: 

Focus: Chemistry​

Chemistry is like the magic of tiny building blocks called atoms that
combine in different ways, just like LEGO bricks, to create everything we see and touch, from water to the air we breathe. Chemists study how these atoms and molecules react with each other, explaining things like why some things taste sweet or how fireworks produce colorful bursts
of light. It's the science of exploring and understanding the incredible world around us!
